When I introduced myself I was like, "Nice to finally meet you! See I'm not some 45 year old guy on the internet-" and she sort of cuts me off saying, "What? I didn't say that!" and I felt kind of embarrassed to come off so casually (I couldn't help it, I felt really comfortable) and I explained that I was just joking and that I'm sorry if she took it seriously. Then I met her father and we all chatted a little bit- and he talked about my messy hair XD. When we took a picture, I saw the preview and I commented that, "awe I look like a girl in that picture!" and Frances' mom said, "what, and that SURPRISES you?!"
We all laughed and I thought that was aaawesome how she totally got me. Then I gave her a high-five which I thought was also funny hahaha. So yeah, it was short and sweet, and I wish I could have given a more thorough tour of my stuff and explained why I have weird things like liquid latex on my bathroom sink and spirit gum XP, harharhar. (It's for Halloween makeup btw) I feel really good for just being able to meet her in person finally after all these years.
Soooooo, AWESOME! =D
- 1. I started learning how to read before I reached kinder because of Karaoke.
- 2. I never did baby-talk and began to imitate actual words around 7 months old or earlier.
- 3. I still have memories of when I was a baby, including being breast-fed, poking my cousin Janie, and being afraid of sparkling fireworks.
- 4. I used to carry around a teddy bear with me that I named, “baby”. (I think because I treated it like a baby and I even put a cloth diaper on it XD)
- 5. I can pop both of my big toes really loudly, my neck with a fairly long crunch sound as well as my spine with a long crunch sound, my wrists, elbows by twisting them, and I can crack all my knuckles forward and backwards; and all my fingers sideways, including my thumbs. I also learned how to pop my knees but I later learned that to be of dangerous consequence.
- 6. I have some symptoms of OCD like having to touch a part of my body equally with the other symmetrical side. For example: if my jaw happens to brush my shoulder on the right, I must do the exact same thing to my left but if I attempt to do so and I feel I put too much pressure on the left, then I will attempt to balance the right side by brushing it again very lightly. I will continue to do this until I deem it satisfactory. (This only happens if I think about it. Or if I get really stressed/irritated.)
- 7. I also have some symptoms of both types of turrets because when I get really stressed I make these weird guttural sounds that I have to do in different areas of my throat and mouth individually and I have to do it until it completely relieves my strange frustration. I also have to do certain movements like raising my arm, shrugging my arm, or flexing my neck (which I no longer do btw). I am not diagnosed with having either syndrome or disorder probably because I almost never go to the doctor (it’s too expensive XD) and also because I can function well with my life having these mild symptoms. So I’d probably NOT be diagnosed these anyway =].
- 8. My teeth are mostly straight and I’ve never had braces. And yes I’ve gone a few times without brushing my teeth as a child. >=]
- 9. I’ve been drumming on things since I was a baby and since I never got to have my own drum set I developed a skill in beat boxing before knowing what it was called or the expansive subculture that it is involved in.
- 10. I’m pretty flexible for a guy. When I was a kid I used to be able to do the splits. But now I’m just generally flexible and being 1 out of 3 guys in a 22+ student yoga class, it gave me special recognition XD.
- 11. I like all types of music. (As long as it sounds good.)
- 12. I don’t agree with generalizations or categories but I understand the importance of broad forms of comprehension because the definition of many a word in itself is obscured by every individual.
- 13. I consider myself a 1st generation American and an immigrant because I am from Guam and we don’t share the same cultural norms as the average “stateside” American although much of the youth on Guam try to emulate it.
- 14. My favorite instrument to listen to would be the piano. I only learned how to play guitar because of my ex-girlfriend. But I don’t regret learning it; guitar is awesome and addicting =].
- 15. I’ve been cutting/styling my own hair since I was 11 or so. At one point in middle school I took up a dare to have a different hairstyle every day until the last day of school and I pulled it off. I like “sculpting” hair not because I’m narcissistic (I believe almost all of us have a little bit of this in them) which I don’t believe I am because it doesn’t get in the way of how I live or treat others, but because I find it to be soothing. I consider styling my hair a form of art JUST LIKE sculpting.
- 16. I don’t yell at others or cuss at them in anger.
- 17. All the males in my immediate family have a name that starts with a “J” and I plan on carrying over that tradition to my sons as well. My daughters, if I have any, will have a name that starts with a “P”. (Because of my parents’ names.)
- 18. My head is lopsided. It’s long from front to back and is sort of shaped like a peanut (when still in the shell) except the back part is larger than the front. This makes me jealous of black people because I believe that all black people, men and women, can look good bald or with really, really short hair.
- 19. I’m very good at keeping in touch with people (maybe because I have an abnormal memory) and in fact I still keep in touch with people I’ve known since I was 4 or 5 (non-relatives and non-neighbors) in different parts of the world including the opposite side.
- 20. I have an abnormal memory that allows me to passively remember things (like random facts) but allows me to forget other things I SHOULD remember (like people’s names). If only I knew how to control my power XP.
- 21. I can kick the back of my head. (Although it’s been a while. I’m pretty sure I can still do it.)
- 22. I used to be able to rotate my right hand a full 360 degrees. But because of minor break dancing injuries, I can no longer do this.
- 23. I have a mole on the same part of both my feet as if they were designated spots for me to be crucified.
- 24. I can sleep on anything… including rocks.
- 25. I can go without sleep for as long as I need to (if I’m working on artwork or schoolwork) and sleep whenever I want even in the middle of a loud ambience. But I still suffer from falling asleep while driving (If I pull an all-nighter). I can’t fall asleep accidentally during movies (no matter how boring) but I can fall asleep while reading a very interesting book.
Edit*** Someone let me know that the videos are in reverse order... x______x''
So last night I sessioned at my school with my good 'ol buddy Jeremy Lam. We met up with Kash, his friend Javier, a couple of people from Flex Flave: Bao and Ken, my friend Tomo the 28 yr old bboy engineer and his friend, and some people from Hybrid crew and Space Invaders: Waigi, Tek, George, etc . It was a very chill session- I really didn't do much so I didn't sweat. It's cool though cause it's been a while and I don't wanna overload myself. Good thing too cause some of my muscle stabilizers are pretty sore from the light session. Anyway it's been a reeeaally long time since I sessioned with Jeremy and I'm glad to see he hasn't quit bboying like he did a couple of times before. Apparently all there is to do at UCSC is schooling and breaking haha. His library of moves has expanded and he's really close to getting infinite headspins! oooo can't wait for me to get those! XD. It's unfortunate though that he lost his airflares back to back. So these guys from Hybrid were helping Kash out with getting forearm/elbow airflares. Watching Kash is always amusing- he has an amusing attitude. Later on I was brushing up on my tricking- specifically the sideswipe, side flip, and cheat gainer. I still got the double legged flip dooown. I'm starting to feel like I'll never get the b-twist down though so I'll stick to flips that don't involve crazy spinning. (Although idk when I'll get over my fear of the dreaded backflip... again. hahaha) Damn you Brandon! haha. Jeremy, Waigi, and I were talking about corkscrews and gainers when Yagi said he was gonna attempt a double corkscrew at midnight because it would be his birthday. Needless to say we were both very excited to see that shit- so I got his attempt on camera. So after Jeremy got a clean cheat gainer- he found that doing a corkscrew would be iffy because he spins the opposite way for his b-twist! hahaha... honestly I'm sure he'd pull it off if he just did it! Fuckin guy, my cheat gainer is sloppy as hell and I only landed it like 2 times. I wanna play Mirror's Edge and trick off of anything I see in school! yyyeeeeeaaaahhhh!
Anyway, it was cool kickin it with Jeremy and Daniel Kwan. We ate some instant ramen and watched a Russell Peters DVD. The dude is hella smart =D. I don't really remember when I got home but I know I went to bed at 5:something. I didn't wake up till Christian called me at around 3 o______o. wo0t! Anyway, gotta work for my client so I won't be so broke after Christmas shopping! Honestly if I could I would definitely get something for everyone I know... D: oh well haha.
So I ordered some Ghetto Macs at McDonald's (turning the $1 double cheeseburger into a Big Mac without the middle bun by putting Big Mac sauce and lettuce) and ghetto McChicken Macs when I noticed these super mega awesome Christmas decorations! Mmmm- some places charge you for the extra stuff but not in MY MickeyD's harharhar! btw wtf's up with the McDouble & the Double Cheeseburger?! It's a trap! Read the menu before you order!
